FAQs & Fees

Below are answers to common questions about working together. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out at emily@spiralpathohio.com, and I’ll respond within two business days.

    • Individual sessions (50 minutes): $160

    • Intake session (required for new clients, 50 minutes): $180

    • Extended sessions (90 minutes): $240

    • Intensive sessions (3 hours): $720

Extended and intensive sessions are optional and designed for clients interested in deeper or more focused EMDR or IFS work.

  • I am currently in-network with Aetna. For all other insurance plans I am considered an out of network provider.

Having in-network insurance does not always mean sessions are fully covered. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your specific benefits and potential out-of-pocket costs. Insurance can be confusing, and support is available to help you check your coverage.

If I am out of network with your plan, you may still be eligible for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits.

  • Yes. I offer both in-person therapy in Columbus, Ohio and telehealth sessions for clients across Ohio.

    In-person sessions take place at:
731 East Broad Street, Suite 8
    Columbus, Ohio 43205

Telehealth sessions are provided through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform accessible via web browser or the SimplePractice app.

  • New clients are invited to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call to see if working together feels like a good fit.

Returning clients can reach out directly at emily@spiralpathohio.com to schedule.

  • A 24-hour notice is required for all cancellations. You can call or text 614-706-5487 or email emily@spiralpathohio.com.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a $75 fee.

This policy helps protect the time reserved for you and supports a sustainable, grounded schedule. It is not punitive and is not a reflection of the reason for cancellation.

  • This work often resonates with people who already have insight and are looking for deeper, experiential change rather than more analysis. A consultation can help you sense whether this approach feels supportive for you.

  • EMDR sessions move at your pace and focus on how experiences are held in your body and nervous system. You remain present and in control, with space to pause or slow down as needed.

  • No. We don’t focus on retelling every detail. Much of the work happens through present-moment awareness and felt experience, sharing only what feels necessary and supportive.

  • The length of therapy varies. Some clients come for focused work around a specific concern, while others choose ongoing, depth-oriented therapy. We revisit pacing and direction together over time.
