Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy in Columbus, Ohio with Telehealth Available

A supported way to explore ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (kap)

A deeper way to work with yourself

You may already be familiar with therapy. You may understand your patterns and where they came from — and still feel like something inside hasn’t shifted.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) offers a different way of working with yourself. It integrates psychotherapy with carefully monitored ketamine dosing sessions to support deeper emotional and nervous system healing. Ketamine increases brain flexibility, which can help open space for change when combined with therapy approaches such as EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

KAP takes place within an ongoing therapeutic relationship, with preparation and integration sessions that support meaningful growth.

Turning toward your inner experience

In this work, we approach thoughts, emotions, and internal patterns with curiosity rather than force.

KAP is often combined with IFS-informed therapy approaches. This helps you gently turn toward the parts of you that hold fear, shame, self-criticism, or old protective strategies, allowing a new relationship with yourself to form over time.

The Process of KAP

  • Step One: Intake and assessment

We begin with an intake session focused on your history, goals, and whether KAP is a good fit. We also explore intentions and preparation.

  • Step Two: Medical referral

If appropriate, a referral is submitted to Journey Clinical, a medical partner that provides prescribing and medical oversight. You will complete a medical intake with their team.

  • Step Three: Preparation sessions

Preparation sessions look like regular therapy sessions and are individualized based on your needs.

  • Step Four: In-office dosing sessions

Dosing sessions last about two to three hours and take place in my office.

  • Step Five: Integration sessions

We schedule an integration session within 24–72 hours of your dosing session to process and ground what emerged.

  • Step Six: Ongoing medical follow-up

Journey Clinical’s medical team schedules regular follow-ups to track outcomes, make adjustments, and address medical concerns.
